Description
Summary
While presenting the commentary on Porta fidei, edited by the Theology Faculty of the Lateran University, the Author first reviews the biblical significance of the affinity (between the OT and NT), highlighting how this affinity was understood in the earliest Christian tradition as invoking salvation in Christ while at the same time “saying the same things”. He then focuses on the act of professing the faith, which, as the key element in Christian identity, signifies recognizing, confirming, growing and witnessing one’s own baptismal identity among the faithful. He concludes by pointing to the need to bring the Gospel into contemporary culture.
