Liturgia culmen et fons

Description

La definizione della liturgia come «fonte e culmine», senza una corretta ermeneutica, rischia di ingenerare forme di assolutizzazione della liturgia con conseguenti reazioni e rifiuti che non giovano alla sua recezione. Lo studio, dopo un breve approfondimento circa il dibattito conciliare su culmen et fons e alcune accentuazioni e precisazioni avvenute in successivi interventi magisteriali e nel dibattito teologico, mette in risalto ambiti ai quali più propriamente si riferisce l’asserto. In particolare, a partire dall’Inter œcumenici, viene evidenziata la rilevanza che la liturgia assume nei confronti della più generale formazione dei credenti e dell’attività pastorale della Chiesa e, alla luce di Sacrosanctum Concilium, viene precisato come e in che senso la stessa sia anche «fonte e culmine» della vita spirituale.

Defining the liturgy as «fons et culmen», without a correct hermeneutics, we run the risk of create forms of carrying to extremes the liturgy, and as consequent of create reactions and refusals that don’t help its reception. This essay, after making a short investigation about the Council’s discussion on «culmen et fons» and some accentuations and later precise statements by magisterial interventions and in the theological discussion, stresses aspects to which this assertion is referred. More precisely, beginning with the Instruction Inter œcumenici, it is emphasized the relevance that liturgy assumes towards the more general formation of the believers and of the church’s pastoral activity. In the light of the Sacrosanctum Concilium, the article tries to define more precisely how and in which sense liturgy is also «fons et culmen» of the spiritual life.
