Note on the steps of ecumenical dialogue in recent years (2006-2012) The invitation to open the Week of Prayer 2013 reflecting and praying about what “Walking in conversation” should be an essential component of Christian dialogue, in the search for the visible unity of the Church and of Christians in the world, is particularly significant, because it indicates just how dynamic should be ecumenical dialogue, especially in light of the many steps that have been made in the course of the century. To “steps” over the past year I would like to dedicate some reflection, which appears all the more necessary in view of the ecumenical events of 2013.
